EMPOWERING KIDS TO MAKE CHANGES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES The Fuel Up to Play 60 program empowers educators and students in schools across the country to make healthy, sustainable changes in their school communities with a focus on nutrition related to dairy and physical activity. Dairy Management, Inc. was searching for ways to empower the voices of the youth while also amplifying education around the important topic of health and wellness in schools. CustomED coordinated these needs to create the Student Ambassador Summit. THE SUMMIT THAT BRINGS REAL IMPACT For 10 years, CustomED collaborated across multiple agencies, partners, and organizations to create and implement an annual Student Ambassador Summit. This includes creating the structure to identify and select youth leaders, the event agenda and logistics coordination, and expanding the event to make a bigger impact every year. THE IMPACT The Student Ambassador Summit brought together and trained young leaders to lead and expand the Fuel Up to Play 60 program in their schools, with a projected impact of 357,000 students across the country at our most recent event.
